Aperçu

This safari starts and ends in Arusha and takes in the Ngorongoro Crater, the Serengeti and Lake Manyara.

You descend over 600 metres to the crater floor, where monkeys and elephants live in the forest, you may see flamingos at the lake and lions hunt on the open savannah. Then you drive by way of Olduvai Gorge to the endless plains of the Serengeti, home to great herds of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles.

Lake Manyara National Park, your last stop, is home to hippos, monkeys, tree-climbing lions, flamingos and many other birds.

Jour par jour

  1. Jour 1

    Arusha to Ngorongoro

    The tour starts with lunch in Arusha town at 12:30.

    At 14:00, drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

    Dinner and overnight at the lodge in Ngorongoro.

  2. Jour 2

    Ngorongoro Crater, Olduvai Gorge and the Serengeti

    Today you descend 2,000 feet (over 600 metres) to the floor of the crater for a half-day crater tour. Explore the forest, home to monkeys and elephants, the lake area, where you may see flamingos, and the open savannah where lions hunt.

    Lunch at the lodge.

    In the afternoon, drive to Serengeti National Park by way of Olduvai Gorge.

    Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

  3. Jour 3

    Serengeti to Lake Manyara

    Enjoy a morning of game viewing on the endless plains of the Serengeti, with a chance to see the great herds of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles, or a pride of lions lounging in the shade.

    Return to your lodge for lunch, then leave for Lake Manyara.

    Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

  4. Jour 4

    Lake Manyara and back to Arusha

    After an early breakfast, set off for a morning game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, home to hippos, monkeys, tree-climbing lions, flamingos and many other birds.

    In the middle of the morning, drive back to Arusha.

    Lunch at a local restaurant.
