   Jour 1

   Fly to the Selous, evening game drive

   You are picked up from Dar es Salaam city centre and taken to Dar es Salaam Airport for a scheduled flight to the Selous Game Reserve.

   On arrival, a representative of Rufiji River Camp meets you and takes you to the camp for lunch.

   In the evening, you have the chance to join a game drive in the Selous.

   Dinner and overnight at Rufiji River Camp.

2. 2
   Jour 2

   Full day in the Selous

   Spend a full day game viewing in the reserve, on classic-style game drives exploring the bush in 4x4 vehicles.

   Waterbuck, southern reedbuck and bushbuck are common in the Selous, and rare sable antelope, lion and greater kudu also frequent this area.

   Meals and overnight at Rufiji River Camp.

3. 3
   Jour 3

   Walking safari and boat safari

   After breakfast, go on a walking safari in the reserve with an armed ranger. The sights, sounds and smells of a walking safari are a special treat, and creeping up on animals to 'shoot' them with your camera is a thrill.

   In the afternoon, take a boat safari through the channels and lakes of the Rufiji River system, among hippos and crocodiles.

   You may see a wide variety of herons, storks, ducks, stilts and other water birds, and you also see land mammals such as giraffes and elephants.

   Jour 4

   Morning game drive and flight back to Dar es Salaam

   Enjoy a morning game drive in the Selous Game Reserve.

   After an early lunch at the camp, transfer to the airstrip for a scheduled flight to Dar es Salaam.

   At Dar es Salaam Airport, you are met and taken to Dar es Salaam city centre.
