This safari starts and ends in Arusha and takes in Lake Manyara, the Serengeti, the Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire.

Lake Manyara National Park is home to hippos, monkeys, tree-climbing lions, flamingos and many other birds. The endless plains of the Serengeti hold great herds of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles.

In Ngorongoro you descend over 600 metres to the crater floor. Tarangire National Park is noted for its many baobab trees and its tree-climbing lions, and is home to lesser kudu, eland and gerenuk.

Jour par jour

  1. Jour 1

    Arusha to Lake Manyara

    The tour starts with lunch in Arusha town at 12:30.

    At 14:00, drive to Lake Manyara.

    Enjoy an evening game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, home to hippos, monkeys, tree-climbing lions, flamingos and many other birds.

    Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

  2. Jour 2

    The Serengeti

    After an early breakfast, drive to Serengeti National Park. Lunch at the lodge.

    Spend the afternoon game viewing on the endless plains of the Serengeti, with a chance to see the great herds of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles, or a pride of lions lounging in the shade.

    Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

  3. Jour 3

    Serengeti to the Ngorongoro Crater

    Set out early in the morning around your lodge, then return to the lodge for breakfast.

    In the middle of the morning, leave for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Lunch at the lodge.

    This afternoon, you descend 2,000 feet (over 600 metres) to the floor of the crater for a half-day crater tour.

    Explore the forest, home to monkeys and elephants, the lake area, where you may see flamingos, and the open savannah where lions hunt.

    Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

  4. Jour 4

    Tarangire National Park

    After breakfast, leave for Tarangire National Park, arriving in time for lunch and an afternoon of game viewing.

    Lesser kudu, eland, lion and gerenuk live in this beautiful park, noted for its many baobab trees and its tree-climbing lions.

    Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

  5. Jour 5

    Tarangire and back to Arusha

    Enjoy an early morning game drive in Tarangire National Park.

    Breakfast at the lodge, then drive back to Arusha, with game viewing on the way.

    Lunch in Arusha town.
