Aperçu

A standard camping safari in northern Tanzania that starts and ends in Arusha. It takes in Tarangire and Lake Manyara national parks, Lake Eyasi, the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater.

Tarangire is known for its many baobab trees and its tree-climbing lions. At Lake Eyasi, with its views of the Rift Valley escarpment, you meet the Datoga pastoralists and the Hadzabe, one of two remaining hunter-gatherer tribes in Tanzania.

In the Serengeti, look for the great herds of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle. On the way to Ngorongoro you pass Olduvai Gorge, where Louis and Mary Leakey made their renowned archaeological discoveries.
